How does it work?
Very Well! Haven't you been paying attention? No seriously,
here's all you do: attach the Turboset to your rod butt using the
two-piece, adjustable bracket. The Turboset won't scar the cork
handle and yet stays firmly in place. An adjustable "arm"
is attached to the bracket; this arm can lock tightly into place and
nestles under your forearm. On the Tournament model, a Velcro strap
helps secure the "arm" in place. Once attached, the
Turboset works with your body's natural musculature and motion; the swivel
motion of the device helps improve your fishing technique and prevent arm discomfort.
When placed properly on the rod, the Turboset also improves the balance of
your rod.
Which Turboset
model should I choose? While both models have been
designed for all types of angling, the Turboset Tournament works
especially well with longer rods (10+ feet), making them popular with
crappie anglers. The Champ model is preferred by bass-fishing fans;
it is better suited for flipping and pitching. The repetitive motion
can wear your arm out pretty quickly, but the Turboset Champ offers
support & leverage without getting in the way, so even those who like
to switch hands will find it easy and convenient to use. It even
helps beginning flippers to improve the accuracy of their casts because it

The new,
patented Turboset Hook Retainer is designed with
safety & organization in mind and is made of sturdy, UV-protected,
high quality plastic. The
Turboset Hook Retainer easily clips onto your
fishing rod, over or under your fishing line. For a secure,
tangle-free line, simply unscrew the nylon knurled thumbscrew,
insert your single hook, (see diagram) and gently tighten the screw
down on the hook.
Conventional means of snagging your hook to
your pole or eyelets are not reliable, and can result in the hook
flying loose, tangling and causing injury. The hook barb is
also exposed and may cause injury when reaching for the pole.
